hay.. i have been to three consecutive up gigs. im soooo happy.
tamang bawi from all the stress from school. hehe.
of the three gigs, the fairday the 13th (kewl title) gig is my favorite, which was held on friday the 13th, as the name of the gig implies. the crowd - the "rockers" slammed really hard, intentionally or unintentionally pushing the other "rockers" in the mosh pit already circled by dust. it was as if these guys (most of them are guys, by the way) were possessed by the hard core and really LOUD music. watching them made me smile and laugh (to myself
lang) because for the love of music, fun and rock - these guys really didnt care covering and suffocating themselves with dust.
the gig kicked off with performance by less known or famous bands. but still, everyone seemed to be having fun. the gig just got more intense when greyhoundz started playing "hole" ( a soundtrack for 'the ring' if im not mistaken. ) wooaa, crowd got into madness. i being slightly one of them. hehe) then, something bad yet also exciting happened when the fence (since sunken is an open field, they had to build fences to close the fair area / gig area) collapsed because certain outsiders who wanted to get inside for free - pushed it. the band stopped playing and then this odd-looking guy,in a clown costume [whatever.
basta, the host] announced that they had no choice but to stop the gig. naturally, the crowd started getting mad. some were shouting
"ibalik ninyo pera namin". , "greyhoundz!greyhoundz!" and some were even showing up their hands in "f*ck you" (hello,it's like the real show was just getting started. other more
astigbands havent played yet)
the host kept on telling in a 'diplomatic' way that the crowd should go home. the show is over. blah blah. but the crowd (including us, of course, how can i narrate this if i left already. hehe) just sat, as if having the vibrations that the show is gonna resume. and the crowd wasnt wrong.
after about 15 to 20 minutes, greyhoundz was back on stage. the organizers decided to resume the show in two conditions 1.) those who didnt pay still gets to watch --from the outside; (the fence collapsed
na nga so
wala nang division but they still shouldnt get over that fence. harhar, labo ba? im telling you, the set-up looked as stupid as it sounds) and 2.) there would be peace and love among those peeps in the moshpit - no harm should be purposely inflicted to one another. after all
daw, valentines day
na[whatever.
so the fun continued.. chicosci played. ha, my mong.never mind the bad version of e-head's magasin. mong is still the man.. of my dreams. hehe. nyek, one of the men of the dreams, rather. because there came ian tayao of cheese. I LOVE HIM, super. ;) astig ang performance -
pasaway na bokalista. he jumped into the audience twice.
yun tuloy, he lost his shoe, pero oks lang 'cause he threw his socks and his other shoe eventually, by the way. ultimate rocker. ehem ehem.
ok.. but the drama wasnt over yet. while kamikazee was playing "tsinelas", the vocalist (god, i forgot his name but he used to be my crush.hehe) said "uy, bakit may duguan? ayos ah!". ok.. so the music just died and the odd-looking guy came out again saying that the show is over. and that time, he meant it - the show was finally over.
huhu. imago wasnt able to play.
ok, so this is a gig to remember. the next day, when people asked me how the gig was -- i said "magulo" but i was smiling because because of that "gulo"-
the gig truly rocked. ( in my own definition of rock, that is.)
